Biography

Dr Peter Davidson graduated from The University of Queensland in 1985. He went on to practice as a GP in Beenleigh and Chermside before returning to the hospital system to complete his pathology training. Dr Davidson trained in Haematology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital, and the Australian Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, before obtaining his fellowship.

In 1996 Dr Davidson commenced as a haematologist with QML Pathology and is currently Pathologist in Charge of Haematology and Molecular Haematology. During this time, he has acted as a Visiting Consultant Haematologist to the ARCBS (1996-1997) and the Mater Hospital (1996-present).

His special interests include coagulation disorders, iron disorders, non-malignant haematology, the use of expert systems in diagnostic medicine.
