Biography

Dr Chang graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science (Hons) before going on to complete her MBBS (Hons) at the University of Sydney. After graduating in 2000, she began an internship with the Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Following the internship, Dr Chang was the Chemical Pathology Registrar from both Princess Alexandra Hospital and QHPS Central Laboratory, Royal Brisbane Hospital over a four-year period. In 2007 she began working at QML Pathology as a Chemical Pathology Registrar. The next year Dr Chang obtained her fellowship and joined QML Pathology as a Consultant Chemical Pathologist.

Dr Chang has held several national positions on RCPA/AACB expert groups. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Biogenic Amines AACB/RCPA QAP Advisory Committee. Currently, she serves as a NATA-accredited laboratory assessor and is also an examiner for the FRCPA.

Her special interests include quality assurance, laboratory informatics and toxicology.
