- Graduated from The University of Melbourne
- 1985 - received fellowship and commenced working as a general pathologist
- Worked as Director of Pathology for a short time at the Wagga Base Hospital, NSW
- Relocated to Cairns and worked for Peverill's Pathology / QML Pathology until 1996
- Later ran a private pathology laboratory with Dr Jan Kencian until 1999 before merging with QML Pathology to create the Cairns Laboratory
- Special Interests: dermatopathology, gastro-intestinal pathology, haematology, cytology, biochemistry
