After graduating in Medicine from the University of Queensland in 1974, Dr Davies commenced
training as a General Pathologist obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in
1983 (general/clinical pathology). Since obtaining his fellowship Dr Davies has worked extensively
in regional centres throughout Queensland and New South Wales in both the public and private
sectors, including a position as the Director of Pathology in Townsville and Cairns during the 1990s.
Throughout his practice he has maintained an interest and expertise in general pathology, histopathology and cytology.
