- 1988 - Graduated from The University of Sydney
- Trained in pathology at the St George, Concord and Prince of Wales Hospitals in Sydney
before obtaining his fellowship in haematology in 1997 - 1998 - 1999 - Gained additional postgraduate experience in transfusion medicine at the New Zealand Blood Service
- 2000 - Took a position as locum Consultant Haematologist at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland
- 2000 - returned to Australia in August to join QML Pathology as a Consultant Haematologist
- Special Interests: haematological malignancy, transfusion medicine, biochemical aspects of haematology, education and training in pathology
