- 1993 - Graduated with MBBCh from the University of the Witwatersrand
(Johannesburg, South Africa) - Trained as a Haematopathologist in the Department of Haematology and Molecular
Medicine (University of the Witwatersrand), working for the South African Institute for Medical Research
(later the National Health Laboratory Service). Graduated with M.Med (Haematology) in 2003 - Worked on restructuring and implementing a new Haematology curriculum for medical students in the Graduate Entry Medical Program
- Immigrated to Australia in February 2004
- Joined QML Pathology in August 2004 in a training position and continues as a consultant Haematologist
- Obtained a fellowship of the Royal College of Australasia in December 2004
- Special Interests: flow cytometry, haematological morphology
