- Graduated from The University of Queensland
- 1977 - Completed training in anatomical pathology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney
obtaining his fellowship at this time - Worked as Histopathologist at the Repatriation General Hospital, Greenslopes
- 1981 - received a Commonwealth Postgraduate Award to study liver disease at the Royal Free Hospital, London
- 1982 - returned to Greenslopes as Senior Pathologist
- 1984 - Joined QML Pathology
- Now works for QML Pathology on a part time basis
- Special Interests: gastrointestinal and liver pathology
