- 1981 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
- Received pathology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in the Department of Anatomical Pathology
- Also worked at the Prince Charles Hospital and at Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital before receiving a fellowship in pathology in 1989
- 1994 - Joined QML Pathology as a Staff Pathologist
- Later became a Senior Associate Pathologist at the Redcliffe Laboratory
- 1994 - 2001 - Was elected Secretary of the Redcliffe and District Medical Association; the longest serving committee member on the Executive
- 2002 - Became Pathologist in Charge of QML Pathology's North Queensland region, based at the Townsville Laboratory
- Special Interests: histopathology, dermatopathology, fine needle aspiration, cytology
