- 1974 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
- Trained in anatomical pathology at the Mater and Princess Alexandra Hospitals, Brisbane
- 1984 - Joined QML Pathology, supervising operations of the Redcliffe and Springwood Laboratories as well as the Marketing Department
- Currently Pathologist in Charge of Redcliffe Laboratory, where she specialises in histopathology
- An active member of the AMA also spending six years as secretary of the Redcliffe and Districts Local Medical Association
- Spent two years on branch council of the AMAQ including one year as state secretary
