- 1992 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
- 1993 - 1994 - Worked as an intern and became a Junior House Officer at the Royal Brisbane Hospital
- 1994 - Worked as an Anaesthetic Registrar for the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists before moving into anatomical pathology at QHPS (Royal Brisbane Hospital campus) in 1996
- During this time he worked at the Prince Charles Hospital Laboratory and the John Tonge Centre (Institute of Forensic Pathology)
- Accepted the role of Pathology Registrar in the Histology Department at QML Pathology, Central Laboratory
- 2003 - Appointed Supervising Pathologist of the QML Pathology Ipswich, Stanthorpe and Toowoomba Laboratories
