- 1976 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
- 1976 - General Practitioner on the Gold Coast
- 1984-1988 - Trained as a pathologist at Mater and Princess Alexandra Hospitals
- 1989 - 1990 - Worked in private and public practice in Maryborough
- 1991-1995 - Consultant Pathologist and Director of Anatomical Pathology at the Prince Charles Hospital
- During this period Dr Dare received extensive training in heart and lung pathology and cytology at various centres in the USA, including the Mayo Clinic
- 1996 - joined QML Pathology, Southport Laboratory
- Special Interests: histopathology, cytopathology, cardio-pulmonary pathology
