1977 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
1984 - Gained fellowship
1988 - Established Ann Warrell Pathology after working in private pathology practice for several years, selling this in 1992
1995 - Dr Warrell joined John Flynn Hospital and established weekly Grand Rounds, chaired the Continuing Medical Education Committee, chaired the Infection Control Committee and represented pathology on the Patient Care Review Committee (Medical Advisory Board Chair 1998-1999)
2000 - Obtained Fellowship of the International Academy of Cytology and moved to the New England Tableland of northern NSW, working at the New England Pathology Service and then at the QML Pathology laboratory in Tamworth
Special Interests: fine needle aspiration cytology, gastrointestinal pathology, dermatopathology, biochemistry, microbiology, haematology
