- 1984 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
- Completed residency and subsequent training with the Royal Brisbane, Prince Charles and Mater Hospitals
- 1994 - Obtained dual fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists and College of Physicians
- 1994 - 1995 - Completed advanced haematology training in USA at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre in Houston, where she specialised in the diagnosis and management of Leukaemia
- 1995 - 2004 - Consultant Clinical Haematologist, Mater Hospital
- 2003 - Joined the Haematology Department at QML Pathology in a part time capacity
- 2004 - Took on a full time position at QML Pathology
- Special Interests: haematological malignancy, specifically CLL, thalassaemia
