1992 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
1999 - Obtained fellowship with the College of Physicians in the area of Infectious Disease following training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital
Post training he joined the Royal College of Pathologists and began further education in Microbiology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and QML Pathology
2001 - Awarded the Gus Nossal NHMRC Medical Post Graduate Scholarship to fund his PhD at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in molecular parasitology
Dr Bartley practices in all areas of clinical infectious disease and is a Consultant Microbiologist at QML Pathology, commencing with the organisation in 2003
2005 - Dr Bartley obtained his fellowship with the College of Pathologists, along with being awarded a PhD
Special interests: Infections in immunocompromised hosts, infections in returned travellers, nosocomial infections and molecular microbiology.
