1967 - Graduated from The University of Queensland and began postgraduate training in pathology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in 1969
During training in anatomical pathology, began a research project into apoptosis under the supervision of Professor John Kerr
1973 - Qualified for his FRCPA
Was awarded an MD for his research in 1975
1977 - Became Staff Pathologist in the Division of Anatomical Pathology at the RBH, becoming Senior Pathologist in 1983 and Director of the Division in 1991
Involved in collaborative research with Professor Kerr and various members of QIMR, publishing many articles in medical scientific literature
2002 - Joined QML Pathology as a Consultant Histopathologist
Special Interests: gastrointestinal pathology (including hepatology), renal biopsy interpretation, dermatopathology
