- 1986 - Graduated from The University of Queensland
- Trained in pathology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital
- Obtained fellowship in anatomical pathology in 1994
- 1995 - 1996 - Undertook postgraduate training in cytopathology at the Victorian Cytology Service, during this time becoming a Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne
- 1997 - Joined QML Pathology as Pathologist in Charge of the Cairns Laboratory
- Joined the Histopathology Department in the central Brisbane Laboratory in late 2000, becoming Pathologist in Charge of Cytology in 2006
- Special Interests: gynaecologic cytology, fine needle aspiration cytology, breast pathology
