A recipient of the Alan Blackshaw Prize for Physiology studies and the Deanís Commendation for High Achievement, Dr Darina Vuong graduated from The University of Queensland in 2003, with a Bachelor of Science (Major in Biomedical Science).
Darina studied Medicine at The University of Queensland, graduating with Honours in 2007, before progressing to internship and Junior House Officer positions at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
In 2010, Darina commenced training in Anatomical Pathology at various institutions, including: QML Pathology, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, as well as a research position at The University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research in Breast Pathology under Prof Lakhani. During her training, Darina was also an Associate Lecturer in Pathology at The University of Queensland.
Dr Vuong was awarded a Fellowship in Anatomical Pathology and commenced work with QML Pathology Southport in early 2015 as a specialist in histopathology and cytopathology. Her special interests include skin, gynaecological pathology and gynaecological (cervical) cytology.
